Views: 20 | Comments: 3 Hi, I'm Dan, I'm new here from voluntown Connecticut. Just picked up a 1974 gmc c1500 stepside. I'm not new to the squarebody life, but getting back into it. Been almost 20 years since I had my 85 c10. June 28, 2022, 09:00:54 AM by Swampyankee74
Views: 69 | Comments: 10 Hi, my name is Dan. I'm new to the site. I recently acquired a 1974 gmc c1500 shorted stepside. The truck is coming apart this fall down to a rolling chasis and rebuild from there. I would like to start ordering some parts to ensure they are here when I need them. I plan replacing all a arm bushings, springs front and rear and would like to put a 2" drop on it. My question is I have a 502 that I might put in the truck. I want to make sure the truck isn't to nosed down with no travel left to the suspension. And input would be helpful. Thank you. June 24, 2022, 01:41:37 PM by Shamrock Motors | Views: 90 | Comments: 3
Hello All, I am wondering if anyone has run into the issue of finding a new crate motor. Seems all the common areas to look, Summit , Jegs, Etc are either out of them or they are on back order. When I started my project of swapping out my 305 with a standard transmission I had my heart set on the 350/290 replacement engines that all the speed catalogues offered. Now I understand that they have been discontinued. Would anyone have an idea where I could get something close to that offering ? Thanks June 22, 2022, 06:43:55 AM by Phoenix-GER
Views: 213 | Comments: 10 Hi All does anyone know a solution by a transmission swap 6L80e on a K30 for the Column-Shifter? Is there any to exchange from another model which would fit? I dont want loose my bench for using a floor-Shifter. Display will be shown bei Dakotaldigital instruments, but i am not sure about the mechanical system. I have an 87 C10 with Wilwood Front Brakes and approximately 5-7 Drop (spindles and springs front, C-Notched out back) currently I have Riddler 650 wheels in 18x8 Fr on 245/40/18 and 0-Offset and 18x9.5 with 275/40/18 (also 0-Offset) and I was wondering if I could run the 18x9.5 (275/40s) in the front??? You might not be able to tell from the pics but the rears have a better sidewall profile that I would love to run in the fronts - well that and the wider wheel with the bigger lips for the front also. The plan is to buy a set of the 20x10s (even larger lips) with some 295 or 305s to run in the back. What do you guys think??? ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pages: [1]
