2001 Silverado 2500HD heater switch?
« on: November 08, 2018, 07:46:16 PM »
My truck doesn't have factory AC as it is just a plain work truck.  I have a 6 position switch off then 1-5.  My blower works on 4 and 5 only.  I am thinking it is the fan resistor but usually just the highest position works.  Am I on the right track or should I be looking to replace the fan switch.

Just a blower relay I take it???  I don't see the resistor like our truck have.

Yes there is a resistor and it is most likely your issue. See #5

know on my 02 ive had issues with the resistors and the connector. but unlike you i have 1-4 and Hi doesnt work unless i wiggle the connection. but the resistors are a known issue and will overheat
