Hello from NC
« on: December 14, 2021, 07:19:36 AM »
Hello everyone. I grew up in the 80's, so these trucks are especially cool to me. Currently working on a '79 K-10.

Send pics if can. If you find that they are too big to send, search this site for a keyword 'pixelresizer' it will lead you to an app that shrinks your photos.

Yes,  Camp Lejeune!

I had friends who's family homesteaded in the 1800's on White Oak River, little whistle stop called Stella. I live there for a short time in the late 70's.

I live in Statesville. Moved here in '95 from Blythe CA. I searched pixelresizer and your reply is the only thing that showed up. I'll work on it.

Camp Lejeune?
U-Haul trailers said it wouldn't fit.

Depends on the tires on the front.
Weight could be the reason they say it wouldn’t fit.
I carried my 74 K5 from S Fl to Tn on a Penske trailer 25 years-ago and cracked the tongue where the braking mechanism was.
They told me it wouldn’t fit also. Would not rent it to me. Went to another place and told them it was an S10.
I had to put different  rims and tires on the front to get past the fenders.
Keep an eye on it if you haven’t made the trip yet.

Yeah that looks a little oversize.

What is the trailer rated for?

The weight of your truck?

If it is suitable, make sure you check the air pressure of all 4 tires... ;)

California to North Carolina, no problemo. 35" tires were the concern.

Great! Glad it went well.
My 35’s and 3.25 BS was too wide for me.
