383 anyone?

I recently aquired a fresh 383 (stroked 350, I told a guy this the other day and he thought I was goiung Mopar) to replace the crusty old 305. I will be running all the smog junk to pass emisions laws.

Any known problems to watch for?

If you are using manifolds for the exhaust, the 305 might not bolt up.  I would check.  Otherwise, everthing else should work. Chris Lucas

Does the 383 require a special harmonic balancer?

It uses the matching 400 SBC balancer and flexplate/flywheel. Chris Lucas
