Can anybody tell me what this is?

Hello.  Does anybody know what these two screws are for?  One is a bolt, the other looks like a screw. They aren't holding anything on, the floor is embossed for them for some reason. I've know this truck since it was new and nobody did any work on it until now.  It's not a bid deal, I'll just remove them and weld the holes, I'm just curious. I forgot to mention this is on the drivers side floor behind where your right heel would be.   Thanks.

Isn't it interesting all the stuff you find that has no reason for it's use.  Maybe an oppsie done at the factory and they just "fixed" it when the build was happening?  I also have owned my truck since the day it was "born".

Yes it is, ha.  Who knows but it's weird how the floor looks like it's stamped for it. My dad actually bought it new, I'm just getting to restore it.  I painted it once back in 87 when base coat /clear coat first came out, it held up for 10 years.

Ok, somebody just told me what it's for.  It's for the speedo cable mount under the cab.  When he mentioned that I did remember taking that off a while back.   It's been a while, I forgot, sux getting old.

Right, looks like somebody just shot a sheet rock screw next to the bolt, but it came that way.
