i have an 86 4WD K20 with a 350 an im planning an engine bulid an im gonna put a list of the parts im planning on putting in an let me know what ya think.
Cam- COMP Cams Xtreme 4x4 Camshafts rpm range 1300-5600 choppy idle
Rebuild Kit-Sealed Power  Federal Mogul Economy Engine Rebuild Kits comes with pistons, rings, rod bearings, main bearing, cam bearings, gaskets an a oil pump
intake- Professional Products Professional Products Cyclone Vortec Intake Manifolds
Heads- Vortec heads off a 96-02 350

ive rode in a blazer with almost this same setup but with out the cam an it ran really good i think this should do pretty good what do all of you guys think

Build sheet looks like a good budget rebuild. Only question I have is the lift of the camshaft. A stock vortec head can only support a lift up to around .450 max. After all of the maching of the guide's, and spring seats, you might be money ahead with aftermarket, plus they flow better. The vortec is an excellant head, but cannot support much cam in stock shape.

yea they will have to be machined or just find something different i figured it up im at about $630 or so

Although I don't remember the exact amount of lift I know vortech heads can handle a mild cam.
