I think for a mild build, they are plenty. There were a few different intake runner sizes available, I took the 'sufficient' route. The 350 I have has mild dish top pistons. So, timing and compression isnt that much of a concern. Now, I can pretty much build a strong shortblock with variations in cams, and I dont really have to worry about modifying the top end anymore-for the most part. But to answer your question, yes. I could drive the truck every day-it runs great. I once had a 70 El Camino-I ran the fuelie 2.02 heads with a mild cam(It was the 350hp 327 cam from the late 60's; .447/.447???), headers and a B&M stall converter. I ran 13.99s on street tires and 87octane. I bet you could bolt on a solid amount of hp by just using a similar set of heads with no other real major mods. Now if you have headers, and duals...the gain would be that much more.
