LS swap section
« on: January 22, 2014, 01:30:30 PM »
LS swaps are becoming the norm these days, and I believe the site could benefit greatly by consolidating swap info into one section. I know you could simply use the search function, but it would be nice to be able to cruise through different threads and find that stuff you didn't know you were looking for. I figure a generic or non-specific driveline swap section would get a great deal of traffic.

Just a thought  :)

Everyone give some feed back.  I could put it as a sub site of engines if there is enough interest.

There does seem to be a lot of interest in the LS swaps these days.  It would be nice to have a single place to read up on what everyone has done/figured out.

Maybe it's too early, but I thought there would be more interest than this.

Sounds like an excellent plan.

I think this is a good idea.  I think this kind of swap is only going to become more common in the future

So what are we looking for here? A bunch a links to useful info or real world stuff we've used and done?

If there are questions, comments or personal info to be shared on LS this is where it will go...

I was waiting on Capt to respond first, to see how he wants this section used before I go throwing ideas out there. I agree with everything he said. It would be nice to eventually see stickies here, with details on the differences between generations and how they effect your swap, Intake data, Dyno sheets/time slips, head casting info and flow data etc.. Of course asking questions is the best way to learn, big or small, there bound to help someone reach there goal.

There have been a few threads on LS- swaps or contemplated swaps already on this forum.  Are those threads going to be moved to this section?  I would like to see that happen unless it creates a huge burden.  I like related things in one place.  My $.02
