Brand new is big bucks. You can easily fix or have yours rebuilt or go boneyard pickin. Aftermarket chrome ones or black ones are available. Some are even telescoping. Just google it if you are bent on a brand new one. You need to id all of your options and controls too.

Look in the Technical Pages. There is a great article with photos on elcamino.com that has step by step for rebuilding your column.

I will just probably just rebuild it. My dimmer switch is out and I replaced it but it still does not work but everything is hooked up right and is there any kind of kit for this?

So you want to replace your steering column because you have dim headlights?

I think what he means is, his dimmer switch doesn't work, so hes stuck on low beams all the time.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I just got done rebuilding my tilt column. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I replaced the lock cylinder (while I was in there), fixed the the moving tilt problem, painted the column, replaced the turn signal cam, replaced the tilt lever, shifter, turn signal lever, and hazard button, and installing a aftermarket wheel. After all the work it looks great, almost brand new. Give it a try. Just make sure you have the right tools. You can rent them for free at most auto parts stores.
