That first attempt was a total failure! Anyway, I've got an 85 C10 that will be getting either an LS1 or an LQ4 backed by a T56 and need to know who makes the best headers for this swap. I've seen the hedman husler's but wanted to get any feedback on these and hear about others.

I'm doing a similar swap with an LQ9. I know S&P headers provide some specific for this swap. I've heard of people using BRP headers, Pacesetter fbody headers, Hooker block huggers, and I'm looking into some edelbrock headers. I'm either keeping my 350 trans or swapping to a 700 though. I've read about some transmissions having clearance issues with some of the header combos but not sure about the T56 in particular.

I have Headman Husler mid lengths on mine.. Supposedly they have longtubes now. They fit fine.

I found the BRP longtubes, but the price :o . Have there been any new developement from Thorley?

NONE that I have heard, still waiting...

Figures... One of the most common body styles of GM trucks on the road with one of the most common engine swaps currently in vogue and they're in no hurry to get a viable product to market. Honestly, they've been out for S10's for how long? I see more of our trucks running around here than OBS S10's. Sheesh...

They needed a truck with one installed and couldn't get one. Not sure if they ever did, but I haven't seen the headers yet.

I remember that from 2 or 3 yrs ago- wow. They sure aren't in any hurry..

I've been wanting to try a set from a new GTO or set of 67 Camaro swap headers. When my funds are up, I'll probably try one or the other.

The thought has definitely crossed my mind, especially with BRP's pricetag. I'd just hate to order a set of headers, especially some pretty ceramic ones, then have them not fit and have to use the old BFH. Really I just want something that fits, and am going to have to pay to get it.

brp has 3/4 length and long tubes for these...
