I like that color Leevon.  You got a clean ride there.

Here's a picture of my truck that I thought was pretty cool.  I took this picture 2 days after the accident I had in the donor truck.  At that point I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to do the swap with my limited knowledge, lack of expercience, and lack of money.

Leevon,
Very very nice truck. What is an R10 though, I've heard of C/K and even the G designations of the vans, but what is R?

The Last of this bodystyle were designated R for 2WD and V for 4wd, since the Next Generation was given the C & K designation....  The Chevy & GMC Truck divisions agreed it would be less confusing, than what Olds by calling their Car Model carry overs "Classics"(Think 87-88 RWD Cutlass Models, since they used the same name on the newer FWD 2drs that came out in '87)...

I don't know that actually seems more confusing to me, I mean it's been a c/k designation since like 73 or even before that why change it for the last year and then go back to the c/k designation again for the new body style?

MudMon, the new style overlapped the old for 88,89,90,91. so the new style got the c/k and the old were given r/v. Only the overlap years are the problem, GM needed a way to distingush so when a guy came in with a 88 C1500 and needed a fender, they would know what to give him.

overlap? I thought just the suburban went until '91. I thought our trucks stopped in '87 and the new ones picked up in '88...GM is just trying to confuse me, andway I like the truck whatever the designation it is...

1/2 Ton trucks stopped in 1987.  3/4-up trucks continued until 1991, during that time the 3/4T C/K series was availible also...  The Burbs carry the same designation or R/V.
