Trying to get some clarification on the type of 350 I have in my K10. Bought this truck about a year ago and do not know what this engine came out of as it’s a swap done 2 owners ago.
Thanks!

What are you attempting to link? Images can be attached using the "Attachments and other options" line located below the text window while posting.
What year is the vehicle?

I’m trying to post a picture of the engine sorry I thought it worked the first time!

What are some things I should look for to distinguish a tbi vs non tbi 350?

a tbi unit will be on top of the engine.... but the center bolt valve covers are usually a giveaway

What type of fuel pump you got? And where is it located?

From what I looked around at states The TBI heads have the center bolts for the valve covers and the two center bolts on ether side of the intake go in at a different (more straight up and down) angle. Those look like TBI heads and thus TBI intake. It could be a carb on top if someone swapped it out.

Based on the centerbolt valve covers, it appears to have TBI heads. However, based on the linkage visible, it also appears to have a carburetor.
TBI (throttle body fuel injection)
- 87-94 TBI heads with center bolt valve covers (uses TBI intake manifold)
- throttle body mounted in the center of the intake manifold (not a carburetor)
- in-tank electric fuel pump
- computer and sensors to run TBI
Carburetor
- 55-86 style cylinder heads (old intake manifold bolt pattern)
- perimeter valve cover bolts (bolts down the edge of the valve covers)
- 4 barrel carb mounted in the center of the intake manifold. Stock was a Quadrajet, but Edelbrock and Holley are often installed.
- Mechanical fuel pump mounted on passenger side, lower front of engine block. Metal line running up to carburetor
- No computer

I've seen it an awful lot where people didn't fix a TBI problem, and ended up just changing out the intake and putting a carb on instead. Heck, I've even see hillbillys replace the electronic distributor for points simply because they just didn't trust them dancy 'lectronics.... :o

you can make a carb intake fit the tbi heads and theres prob a intake you can buy for the carb to go to tbi heads.
