That is not normal. When it came loose the first time did you replace the gaskets and properly torque the manifold down?

First time just torqued the bolts down.It is a 350 with the stock aluminum intake on it.Did learn last night that the gasket is gone in one corner so thinking that the intake could be worn from age (156,000 miles) I am planning to replace it.Thanks

Are you sure that aluminum intake is stock?

I replaced the intake with an Endlebrock performer yesterday,a welcome change to the horsepower.Stock intake had seen it's use after 156,000 miles. Thanks to all of you for your input. This site is the best!!
