Title: New power steering pump without separate reservoir
Post by: robosmurf on February 27, 2018, 10:01:07 AM
87 454 with TBI. It has a power steering pump with the aspirate separate reservoir mounted near the thermostat housing.

Is there a swap for a pump with the reservoir on the pump?

I'm trying to clean up the engine compartment.

I'm sure you could modify the pump or replace it with a small block pump but never tried it. I also have an '87 one ton. At least it is easy to fill.

I am keeping my eyes open for a 90's factory serpentine setup for my 454 in a '86 C10 build which has a reservoir as part of the pump and would

give me a more common and less expensive AC compressor.
