Removed cruise, lost converter lockup?

I disconnected and removed the cruise control servo and plugged the vacuum line. After that I lost TCC. I have put it back on (although it was never hooked to the carb) and converter lockup returned.

Does this make sense to anyone?

That is interesting.  I believe somewhere the circuit for the lockup flows through the cruise module and brake light wiring.  If it is removed, the circuit is not complete. 

I'll bet most guys don't notice if their converter is locking or not.

I guess that is why it was just sitting there to begin with... I guess I could research on how to hook the cruise back up to the Holley 4175 that's on there...

Your lockup doesn't work?  The Cruise is cancelled by the brake and it is tied into the lockup also.  Did you remove a wire that shouldn't have been?

I unplugged it from the servo so it was just hanging there in the engine bay... so I guess it couldn't complete the circuit for lockup. I did not unplug anything under the dash

I did the same thing on my 82,I had to rewire for just the low vaccum switch under the hood and had to remove the one for the cruise control.
