New 1977 GMC owner from Sitka
« on: January 09, 2018, 02:10:54 PM »
Truck is actually still in WA, but will be flying down to see what I bought in a week.  Didn't pay too much, it was run out of oil by the crew, but everything else is supposed to be good.  Hoping to find out a little more about this thing through the knowledge here so I can decide how/what to do with it.  May fix and keep, fix and sell, or part out.

What I know so far -

1977 GMC 3500 DRW Camper Special.  Has flatbed on it now.  454/TH400, 10k gvwr, factory tach.  Was working daily as a limb hauler for a tree service until the crew ran it out of oil and it started knocking.

Apparently the glove box sticker is missing.

I'm very mechanically inclined and have owned a bunch of older Chevy's in my past, so looking forward to working on this truck a bit.
