looking for oddball crank pulley
« on: January 18, 2018, 02:27:11 PM »
In search of a new crank pulley for my 86 K10. Of course its the goofy one with the v belt for power steering and serpentine for water pump and alternator. Can not find one anywhere new or used. I realize I could do a full pulley swap, but trying to avoid that for now. Anybody know where one could be found?

What's wrong with yours? Post pics, there are different versions of that style crank pulley.

I've looked at the March Perf. pulley, but it has grooves for 2 v belts where mine only has 1 v belt. Now if the spacing was matching, then it would work just fine. But its $100 and hate to order it without knowing.

My original has a crack in it. Still works, but eats up belts pretty quick.

Id like to see a pic on the damage out of curiosity. I have been searching for a setup like this for quite some time. I am not willing to pay for the aftermarket pulleys.

I found one pulley at a swap meet but it wasnt a set and I think it has oddball spacing like it isnt made for a SBC

Wow..........i just went out and checked.  And my crank pulley also only has one v-belt.

This one is cheaper and appears to be a non-chrome version of the other one:

These March pulleys should work because the inner most grove(one closest to the face of the balancer) is much closer than the middle one----which would be our normal single grove?    And the middle grove of those Marches appears to be in the same position as our normal single grove.

It's summit, so if it doesn't work, you can always return it.............
