Turn Signal Stalk
« on: November 27, 2018, 10:26:01 PM »
I took the cruise off the '85 Silverado I'm building and purchased a turn signal for a non-cruise truck.  The new stalk was somewhat longer and the "ears" are clocked different.  Was this just a mistake on the the non-cruise stalk or are they different?  I can't imagine that the column is different where the stalk goes in.  I thought the only difference would be the end and the wire.  The one I bought was a cheap one I might add.

I would say it's a mistake.
The wiper and turn controls are the same regardless so the cams should be the same.
There shouldn't be any difference other than the cruise control switches and the wire dangling from the stalk.

Actually there are differences. The end is slightly longer and the positioning is different. Get the correct one for your application.
