Avatars
« on: February 07, 2009, 08:35:22 PM »
Starting to see a lot of people using everyone else's avatars. I don't like this. Maybe a way to upload only your own avatar? That's why I deleted my original

I agree avatars should be personal and no one else should use it, that way when you see it you know who it is.

Maybe deleting the avatar selection would force people to use their own. Just a thought.

I can make it so user cannot upload one (which alot of people will like even less), OR if everyone that has one of their own uploads it externally you can eliminate someone from using it.  I can also look into making them so they are restricted, but all software is like this so it would take a code change.  If you see someone using your old one that was upload and you are linking it, let me know and I will remove it.  IF you uploaded it though it will go away for everyone, example: JR's and 69byrd's

I don't think it needs to be blocked just a courtesy not to use someone else's. I mean really its kinda ok someone likes your stuff but be original.

i agree with JR...be original. it hasn't happened to me but i agree. it gets confusing when i see several people have the same avatar.

I think the chevy bowtie ones should be standard here like all the chevy bowtie avatars .And then when they want to is to get apic of their own and try n shrink it to avatar size and go from there like what we did to ours..

thanks

That sounds cool, just have a bowtie and a gmc avatar as stock.  you really can't say anything if there are doubles of stock avatars, but yeah people don't need to copy personalized ones people have uploaded.

Yep, noticed someone started using the one I created for myself.  Not that I necessarily mind, but it would have been nice had they done me the courtesy of asking first...
