Dad's new toy..uum tool!
« on: July 27, 2020, 11:30:19 PM »
This has been a long time coming. I originally learned how to machine valves on an old Southbend that is way to big for my garage but that's not to say I'd turn one down! Either way I haven't made any major chips since then but that is all changing. It's a little messy because the kids an wife didn't understand its value (I still don't they do)so I chuked up a few things and mad some 6's and 9's. The only thing I do not like is it doesn't have a quick feed change. Instead it has several gear and belt arrangements. It does make threading more cumbersome but my accuracy will be greatly improved. The lathe portion only has 20" between centers so nothing too big will be chucked up. The drill press/mill has a lockable swiveling head and there are two separate motors for the 3 processes.

Looks like you are using Google Pictures. You need to be sure the picture that you share is in an album that you have shared, otherwise we can't see it. You will see your own pictures, because you are logged-in to your Google account. I sometimes forget to move the picture that I am trying to share into a shared album and have the same issue.

I had no idea! So for a little reference on me, I don't Facebook, Instagram tweet, snapgrahm or even smart phone! I think y'all get the picture. I'll go and share the album.

Ok I'm not completely sure how it works but I did create a link for if the others that I've posted don't work. This should be to the album.

I would like the ones I posted to show up in their respective post, is that possible? I know that this subject has been covered two million times so if it is written in a post in very simple terms I will surely follow a link.

You're killing us Froto! :(

Given the current times this should help. I'll try and keep it on at all times. 😷
