Mmmmm so purty! I thought the rad support paint would have been that hammer-finish stuff I thought you spoke of in another thread. Sure looks good though.

I noticed that you used a sm block power steering pump, Did you make that adjust bracket? If not where/what year engine did they come from?
I love those old Motion/Baldwin type Valve pans, the ones I have are cal-customs from the 70's

I used a BBC pump & bracket assembly. I just had to cut bend and grind a little to make it line up.

Videos to come!

Vile,
i got the brackets for a big block setup for power steering.Would i need a big block power steering pump or could i use the brackets to fit a small block power steering pump?Plus would a parts store carry just the pump?Just want to make sure oncei get to bolting the setup on i dont get fustrated n try to fanagle to make it work..

Engine looks awesome by the way, also i got a set of tall valve covers as well.Would they clear by the brake booster or do i have to go with a short style valve cover for clearance ?

thanks
pat

Awesome Vile.  Glad to see you got it all back together.  And with a gimpy foot, too - what an inspiration.  Can't wait for the videos.  I bet it sounds much better with the pickup attached to the pump.

Pat, I suppose you could make virtually any pump work. The pump I have is aftermarket. Still has the bolt on keyway design. you can get the pump at any autparts store. Either way you'll have to figure out something for brackets.

I had tall V/C's on my 83 K5 454. I know they fit but I think I had to R&R the booster get em in and out.

Thanks guys. I got the fittings to re-route my fuel lines and regulator but lost my motivation to do anymore work tonight. gotta rest my gimpy foot.

Vile, that's absolutely beautiful! I think i'm going to enlarge one of those pictures and hang it in my living room. It would almost be like Frog's engine in his kitchen. ;D ;D ;D

Thanks! It's been a fun project and as soon as this crappy weather breaks you'll see some slick videos. I can take a few more pix/videos later. My throttle cable snapped on me so I have to get another one asap.

I've been on this forum for almost 5 years now and I don't think I've seen a vid yet of your beast tearing up the street or doing a wicked burnout. Get this thing finished and let 'er rip, mang!

Thanks everybody. yeah it was quite an annoying set back and busting my foot isn't helping either. I'm also supposed to go Wednesday for Lasik so who knows when I'll actually get it back in the truck. I took a percocet and it makes me feel good enough to go outside barefoot and get it all done lol  ;D but I know better.

Anyway here's a few pix

Vile,
what type of oil pan did you use on this project? And where did you get it from?I`m gonna get 1 for my stepside so i can have it in time once the motor gets done and built in about a week or so.

thanks
pat

I have an extra chrome one I'm not using. The chrome flaked a little on the inside. You want it?
