some help 350 adders

k i got a1979 k10with a  gm crate 350 added a performer 2101 intake and a 1405 carb edelbrock,  what im wondering is
for the throttle return spring what braket is suppose to go with carb and intake setup most that i see are from the back post on the driver side of carb  and also for a throttle cable seems to long

You can easily modify the factory bracket or buy a universal one. There are many options for return springs. You can use a return spring post, attach it to the carb bracket etc. I always use a dual spring setup but just looks at Summit or eBay if you don't have one and order what you need. Auto parts stores usually carry these items in their performance aisle as well
