Being a Vortec 5.7, it should bolt right in place.  You will need the harness but every thing else should be a straight swap over.  You will need High pressure EFI specific hose and a return line.  You could run a Corvette filter with a built in regulator and only have to run one feed line to the motor, but you would have to plug the return line on the setup you have..

doesnt the 2000 sub have independent front suspension?? How are you going to change the front end, or will the 4l80 bolt up too the existing transfercase??

it should be OK the 4l80 t-case went to the pas. side so it should all be in place

for the transfer case i will be using the round flange 205.the computer problems is the main worry.the 4l80e was installed from factory in the 91 suburbans from what i have been told. captkoas- i have the complete harness with motor and trans.were would i find the corvette filter and regulator. choptop- yes the burban has a independent front suspension,i will stay with the solid front.i hope everything works.i will keep ya posted.

You can get the Vette filter/regulator from Autozon.  It is for the 99-up Corvette.
If you have the computer, you are already set for controlling the trans.

Sorry to steal the thread for a moment but was just wondering if a duramax swap has ever been attempted in these trucks?
