Cigarette lighter question; not electrical
« on: September 13, 2018, 08:38:56 AM »
Just purchased a new lighter from  , but can't figure out how to remove the old. I've read in a few places that the outer housing twists off, but i can't seem to get it to budge, maybe my hands are too big? Any tips, tricks advice?

It does come apart like you said.  Some are a bear to do if rust has formed.  You may find that taking the whole ashtray door off the dash is easier.

I just had the same problem.  I took off the glove box when gave my bear hands some room to get in the back.  Also, remember that not all lighters are the same in some of these trucks.  The Ground is on the side of the casing, while the 12 volt is in the center of the lighter.
