Title: 350 Engine 1991 versus 1995 close enough to work??
Post by: zieg85 on September 24, 2008, 06:01:29 PM
I found a 1991 Suburban with a new engine (3000) miles ago, yet to be determined with a bad trans.  Is the engine close enough for my 1995 that is on its last leg.  Any differences that I need to be concerned about??

That is great news... The guy just called back says it runs perfect, no smoke, good front end grill, new tires to boot.  Red interior 3/4 T.  I told him consider it sold.  Just 1 town over, about 20 miles away.  Get to try out my new car trailer for the first time.

Little bummed but I still got a good deal.  Turned out to be a 91 C2500, misread the ad.  I also misread the 3K, it was 30K on a crate motor which looking into the valve cover is clean as can be.  It runs great.  On the plus side it has a new radiator and starter, both of which I don't need but will go on a shelf for "just in case".  Will part the rest out on Craigslist which still should break even.  I will haul it home Sunday afternoon.  I have 19 days of vacation left to take before 12/30 so I should have some fun with a couple of projects.
