Wiper Hi Speed Intermitten Operation
« on: June 18, 2015, 07:34:19 PM »
85 K10, 305, 700R4. Wipers work on low setting, but stop (where ever they are) when placed on Hi setting. However, if I cycle the high beam switch the wipers will then work on the Hi settings. Strange, huh? Anyone have any ideas or similar experience?

These are standard off/lo/hi wipers - no delay feature.

Thanks!

im going to say poor contact in the switch itself. and when you cycle high beams it gives it enough contact to start it. this is a 100% guess and i cant even tell you how to test it

Yeah, I was leaning toward the switch as you mention. Could not see anything obvious on wiring schematic that looked like the hi speed wiper circuit was inter-related to the high beam circuit.

Only thing they seem to share is a common integration in stalk.

Thanks,

Rob
