head light switch

 how do you get the head light switch out of the dash is there a clip or something

On the side of the switch there should be a pin you need to press in and pull the knob out at the same time .

p.s. make sure the knob is in the off position meaning all the way in

C, K, R & V MODELS


Disconnect battery ground cable.
Reaching behind instrument cluster, depress shaft retaining button and remove switch knob and rod.
Remove left side instrument cluster bezel screws, then pull outward on bezel and hold switch retaining nut with wrench,
Disconnect wiring connector, then rotate switch counterclockwise and remove from vehicle.
Reverse procedure to install.
