New C10 rear carrier ?’s
« on: February 28, 2021, 07:01:42 PM »
1977 C10

Hi guys, I need to install a new differential in my truck.
It will have 3.73 gears.

Do any of you have experience with the cone type carrier style?

Like this one- https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aub-5420105

Is there another one you’d recommend?  I just want to cruise around town and burn the tires off a bit.

Cones are smooth and strong. Can't go wrong with Auburn

Got good respect for Auburn! I've been beating this ECTED in my baby 10bolt for years and it doesn't care. The only other diffs I've used a lot are Eaton true trac. They work really well. The Ected is a little clunky but you don't even notice it after a while.
