My 89 Blazer & 91 Suburban had the fender mounted antenna.
I believe yours should have had the antenna on the right front fender originally as well.

Looks to have had originally the windshield antenna.  The stock dash has the relief for the button connection  at the base of the windshield.  The windshield in it now does not have it and the old antenna lead goes uptowards that area.  Think I would like a stock fender mount though!

Is there a good source for the fender mounted antenna or is it salvage?

I haven't ever found one aftermarket,  BUT I much rather have the one in the glass.  Does yours have a fender mount?

Mine right now has this short, flexible, rubber whip antenna mounted to the center of the roof right now.  Want to get rid of that, patch the hole up and go back to a stock configuration.  My '77 has the wires in the windshield, but thought I might like the fender mount as I have heard that reception in a crew cab is highly directional with the antenna in the windshield.  Thought I might like a clean windshield as the one that is in there now doesn't have the wires.  I guess I am open to discussion about this.

I'd get a fender mount and then mount it on the inside of your hood attached to the inside of your fender laying down. My buddy did that on a newer silverado to shave the antennae off of it and to still be able to get signal.

Got my quick-release mudflaps mounted a while back.  Haven't done much more work to the truck as I have been spending all of my free time working on getting my shop finished.

The setup is from Shocker Motorsports.  Not sure exactly how I feel about the clear flaps, but they were cheaper than the black ones.  I can always make some black rubber ones later out of a sheet of masticated rubber.

I wanted something that was well designed, easily removeable, and did not screw into the body work (I have seen too many mudflaps screwed into the wheelwell flange that rip-out the screws, plus they all create small areas where debris can collect and it creates a nasty pultice corrosion spot).

About the only thing I wish is that the drop tubes were a little tighter to the bottom of the bed-sides.  I might have to modify the tubes to get them to pull up closer to the bed.

Please excuse the crappy cellphone pictures!
