Looks like a York AC compressor. Must have aftermarket AC...What are your plans for this beast?

Your right, it is a York compressor.  Im really not sure what direction to go with it.  I like the lowered look, hence my '90 SWB.  Finding lowering components for a 3/4 ton on a quick search didnt bring much to choose from.
Definites-Get the rust fixed.  New paint.  New rims and tires-these will depend on if it gets lowered or not.

Put a new set of plugs in the '77 today, it runs soooooo much better :)  2 of the old plugs were completely fouled out.  Gonna take the carb off tomorrow and take it to work on monday and get a rebuild kit for it.  It is leaking fuel onto the intake.  Then comes an oil change.  Then onto checking the brakes.

A few cold beers and working on an old chevy truck on a warm saturday afternoon, what more can you ask for  ;D

Had some help taking the carb off, it was alot easier for my son to get in the engine compartment than it was for me to lean over the core support :)

A little bit after that, he was bored, so he played with my pen magnet by picking up all my tools that i had out  ;)

Pssssshhh Yeah Ofcourse ;D  I did that with my Father(Both in the Engine Compartment) on our old '70 K-20 Suburban when I was 8 or 9, and relived the memory when I was 17 or 18, with his '76 C-20 8ft Silverado.  Oddly enough, him being 6'1" older, and me being 6'4", we were able to climb in and pull the hood down when it started to rain or snow :D

Got the rebuilt carb put back on and she fired up on the first try  :)
Need to do some adjusting on it to get it right.  Any ideas on which way to go with adjusting the carb?
It idles kinda high, but once it warms up, its starts to idle a little rough.
Thanks for any help, here's a video of it running.

I would set the timing to about 8 degrees, set the mixture screws 2 turns out and put a vacuum gauge on it and adjust it for the highest vacuum reading.  Adjusting timing and idle speed accordingly.  It should idle around 750rpms

The vacuum gauge trick works every time. It does sound like you need to adjust the idle screw (the video was cool, really helped us tune in to your truck!)

Your timing sounds retarded.

Had a little time today to work on the '77 after putting cv axles in my daily driver honda this morning. Captkaos, took your advice,  set timing to 8 degrees and got the idle between 760-800 rpms, she sounds pretty good idling now.  Still has some popping when you let off the throttle, but is alot better than it was. Could just be the 15 year old exhaust system.  Check out this latest video.
