Drop with drum brakes???
«

I have an 87 2wd Short Bed C10. I just got this truck, and i'm pretty new to the whole classic truck thing. Unfortunately it has manual steering and brakes. DRUMS in front and rear. My question is are drop spindles only for disk brakes? I want to drop the truck but at the same time keep a raked look. I don't want it slammed just a nice lowered hot rod stance. What are my best options for doing this?
Thanks a lot i appreciate all the help i can get!!

There is no way you have an 87 with Drum brakes in the front. 1970 was the first year for disc and none of the 73-87's had drums.

Could this body have been swaped over to a older style frame ?
Check your vin# on the body and on the frame, Do they match ?

i thought it was strange too, but yah it has drums in the front. I'll have to post some pics up. It is a pretty bare bones truck, no a/c, manual everything, right now it has the v-6 and the three speed with the granny gear.....

If it actually has drums on the front, I can 100% assure you it is NOT a real 1987 model. It is something someone threw together.

Agreed there's no way you have an 87 with front drums unless someone made it that way and that would make absolutely no sense
