Header question
« on: April 27, 2014, 03:04:28 PM »
Hey guys I got a 87 r3500 2wd. Manifolds were all broken so luckily I removed them no problem. Looking to get a set of headers for it, just wondering what ones would be the best? Also have the air tubes. Not sure if you just can remove them or not? And it has an o2 sensor in the driver side. The motor is A 350 tbi. Thanks for your time and help.

First question, does your truck have to be smogged or inspected on a regular basis ?

I run a direct fit from summit that was pretty reasonable in my 79 2wd. They fit alright but the left one had to be inserted from the bottom, typical header crap

Been reading and looking to just remove all of it. As far as the removal is concerned I can just tape back that plug, plug the vaccum line and remove the whole air pump assembly and everything will be fine?? Thanks again

Anyone come across a header where you can use the existing o2 sensor or no? Thank you

I know bd and Captkoas on here have 87 trucks, so you could try to pm them and see if they have headers or not, I believe Capt. does not on his 87, not sure if bd does or does not.
