Wanting to hear from fellow DFW members that have had windshield replaced at a shop. I am wanting to have mine replaced due to cracks. Want to know a good experienced/reputable shop to have it done right the first time. Want to know the good and bad experiences and where. The closer to the Mid Cities area the better.

Now I am wondering if anyone has reused their locking strip with seal and windshield replacement? I replaced my chrome strip almost a year ago and would like to reuse it.

Hi Roy:
I dont see why you cannot re-use your old locking strip (reveal molding). If it is not bent or tweaked, it should be fine. I reused mine when I replaced a windshield a long time ago and the weatherstrip still seals perfectly.

Henry
