seat options
« on: June 09, 2009, 03:00:13 PM »
Anyone have anything other than stock buckets in their k5? I would like to put a 60/40 split bench with fold down consle like i had in my 97 1/2 ton. Would this work? Will it leave enough room to get into the rear seat?

I guess it would depend on how skinny you are. It's tough enough to get in the back on them. I think the newer factory seats are comfortable and look good. I don't know anyone who has put a bench seat in.

Yeah its even harder with a 6 inch lift and 35s. My kids are about the only ones that ride in the back. Mama would like to sit a little closer to me and the newer seats are just more comfy than the stock wore out buckets.

There wouldn't be enough room to get in the back with a bench unless you were willing to fold it and move it forward all the time.   The new models that are actually split would slide forward and tilt only on the passenger side...

Thats why i was thinking of using the split bench. The pasenger seat is the only one that folds forward now anyway so that wouldnt be a problem. When the top is off the kids just climb the tires and over the side to get in and out! Anyone have one of these seats in their reg cab truck and if you do how do they fit?
