Speedo Cable Problems

My 79 chevy k10 has a major problem breaking speedo cables. It has an np203 init. Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this prob??

i,ve had the same problems!,this could be the sollution, look behind the meter/speedo maybe its not fully locked most of these problems are there( your gear on the transfer case is oke?) because the space between the outer cable and inner cable is too small(on the upper side) this was in my case regards and a happy New Year!!

do you mean the cable being fully locked into the speedo.???:\

There is a clip on the back of the speedo that holds the cable from falling.
