Depends on the 35s.  From what I've read, you can clear ProComp XTerrains w/ 4".  My truck has 4" and I was told it had 35s up until right before I bought it...  If you're really gonna wheel it, w/ 35s you'll probably have to trim the fenders.  If you're scared of a SawZall, go with the 6" lift.  In fact, I think the 6" lift is the way to go.  If my truck didn't already have 4" when I bought it, I'd have bought the 6".

I have a 77 k10 with a 4in lift and 33s, which look too small for it, so theres plenty of room for 35s, there only 2in bigger

I have a 4" lift and it had 35's when I got it. The steering wasn't comfortable, so I switched to 33's and it made a big difference in the feel. The 35's were dry rotted so I needed to switch anyway!   Rick

If you're not gonna wheel it, why not get a newer truck w/ nice, comfortable IFS?

i hate ifs thats why i bought this truck. in my opinion ifs was the worst thing invented for a truck. but also should i get rear springs or blocks in back? cause my front springs are shot and could this mean the rears are about to go?

Well you can definately fit 35"s under a set of 4" soft ride springs. I have the truck to prove it. If you do wheel it hard they probably will hit but for street and mild off road they're fine and I think they handle 10x's better than the 33's. As far as the block in the rear..It is definately the cheapest way to go but if you have fatigued springs then get new springs.

go 6
« Reply #10 on: February 15, 2003, 06:51:00 PM »
Id just go ahead and do 6" it is usually just about 200$ more dollars or maybe less. Im sure i could run 35's with my crappy 4 inches but im pretty sure they'd rub (but id run a aggressive tire) Its just money afterall!!! Id run springs in the back although blocks work.

Hey new guy, the latest part of this thread was from August so it's safe to say it was dead.  Just so you know it's worth looking at the dates of posts before you reply.  If it's older than a month it's probably not worth your time offering input.
