crossover steering , with a big lift?
« on: April 29, 2002, 06:29:00 PM »
I have recently lifted my 1990 1 ton crew cab 4x4, (it is the same body style as the 87),12" suspension and 3" body with 44x19.5x16.5 swamper boggers, now it wont turn, imagine that! It didnt turn too good before with 4" and 35's. I have a dana 60 front end. I have seen crossover steering for 1/2 tons 44's, but the 60 isnt as commonly lifted this big , I assume. I have some pretty serious geometry issues with the offset drag link, It barely turns left at all, and right isnt too much better. does anyone know anyone who builds or sells a crossover package for a 60, and will this solve my problem?    thanks

Hey man, no problem here.  You want to get into contact with Offroad Design.  Here is the link directly to there D60 crossover page D -->>D 60 Crossover.  I guy I know off of another message board just dropped aobut $8000 with these guys for a new D60, crossover steering, and a conversion kit to change an IFS over to a SFA.  They are not overly cheap, but make really great stuff.  Check it out.
