I just saw that you have a Rotary lift in your garage! That's a bunch of crap! Lol. The pump motor looks exactly like a bunch we have at the shop. Let me guess, yellow swing out extendable arms. Are your towers parallel to the lifted vehicle or do you have one of those ones that have the towers angled out towards the opposite side rear corners of the vehicle when it's on the lift? We have a few of those angled tower ones and I don't like them, I like the parallel tower lifts better.

10,000lb asymmetric, curious why you wouldn't favor this design?

The ones we have its a pain in the neck to get the car in the right spot to pick it up, and not everything fits on it. Trucks with long beds fit if they are regular cab but long crews almost don't fit. But the steel plate that's bolted to the ground to indicate the proper position when pulling in is missing, bolts are sheared off from years of use. All the parallel racks can pick up any length car or truck and we have 1 in the back shop that's rated for like 60,000 lbs I think or something. Maybe it's 50K. Anyway, everything is like 3 times thicker on that rack than the others. Plus with the asymmetric lift, the arms don't always swing their full arc depending on how short or long that car is. Either the fronts won't reach their lift points because the you have to pull in to far so that backs will reach their lift points or vise versa. I've had cars that just plain won't fit on it, that's not to common tho.

I had a Challenger 10k asymmetrical lift. It was great, it did everything that I needed it to do.

We use all rotary lifts here with the exception of one or two that are "GM Dealer Service Equipment".

When I installed my lift I set it in accordance with my buddies crew cab long bed so it is positioned where I can lift pretty much any truck, car, ATV, lawn mower, you name it. I wouldn't want any other kind. Last year I turned it into a bar when I had a party with about 100 people here. It was easy to raise the bar that day ;) Very versatile lift

Well maybe that's the issue we have then. It was just installed and on to the next one, when it should have been setup for larger vehicles to be more centered on the vehicles. It's not a problem we constantly have, it just seems like every time I have a slight hiccup. But granted I rarely use it.

We have about 30 racks, 7 are drive on, 2 are asymmetric and the rest on parallel.

Does yours have the flip up steel mounts to pick up a vehicle or does yours have the collars with feet that have rubber mounts and that you screw down or up to adjust for the proper height to pick?

Stack on collars. I don't like the flip up or screw jack designs

Yea, most of ours are the flip up design, and few of them are the screw type, the big 50-60K lift uses massive screw type. The stack on collars are good.

Didn't get as much as I planned to done today but still made some progress. I was like should I shouldn't I should I shouldn't I with this grille. It's a GM original that was basically mint and since I am not having any chrome or stainless on this unit I said the heck with it. Cleaned, sanded & primed the bezels, grille, grille emblem (not sure if I will use this emblem or the lumi-logo but I'm going to do it anyway), wiper arms, drip rails and gas caps. Tomorrow I'll get the base black base coat on everything and then I need to mask and paint the orange areas to see how I like it.
