So I finally completed the redo on the drivers door and fender. I changed the doors out and then didn't like the fender to door match although most would live with it, it annoys me when the body lines don't flow. So I welded and built up the top edge of the fender and reshaped it. Nice transition from fender to door and door to fender so I am happy. I plan to wet sand and buff the cab this weekend then onto the bed.

It's just the lighting although this color looks redish in the shade and orange in the light.

Waiting on the auxiliary shocks to show up but got the other 4 on yesterday. Hoping for nice weather to go outside to finish wet sanding and buffing since I'll be taking a few days off from work soon. It makes such a mess in the garage plus it's easier to see outside. I have to properly run the rear brake line(s) and replace the brake cables then I'm moving onto the bed. I'm about where I would have been last year at this point if I hadn't spent the whole Summer playing in that excavator.  8)

Yes, I have been bad at updating this. I did everything in my last post and some more. I've been consumed with outdoor projects and finally got most of those done. I just moved the bed on a roller and it's in my 3rd bay ready for body work. I took Friday off specifically to start working on the bed. We have our annual 4th of July party Saturday so I won't get too far but she'll be getting some needed attention soon enough. I'll post pics soon thanks for the reminder and the interest.

Looks like I will need to revise this whole thread because photobucket needs to die.

Made some progress on the bed. The bed although solid needs a lot of work. I had to recreate the body lines because it was such a mess. Onto the tailgate tomorrow.

Is that a special "bed stand"?

I just went through this whole thread and removed the photobucket links so essentially even the thread needed to be restored! I will update the pics so they don't have to be clicked eventually

Got the tailgate roughed in. Hopefully I'll finish fine tuning the bed next weekend

Many moons have passed but I am pleased to say that my patience and continued dedication to this baby is paying off. Pix below, came out beautiful and pics don't do it justice. After everything is wet sanded and polished it will look like glass although it looks good as is... very pleased with the results.
