Lower control arms
« on: November 19, 2016, 01:08:17 AM »
1987 Chevy R10

I have an order in for complete upper control arms from Rock Auto but I cannot find lower control arms anywhere online.  The uppers complete were only 65$ each.  Anyone know where to order lowers for a comparable price....really not wanting to fight with the bushings.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

265$ per side for lowers is a bit high for me, just ordered all the components to rebuild upper/lower control arms and all of my steering from rock auto instead.  If nothing else I will just ge a good fire going and toss them in to melt the bushings out or hit it with a propane torch.

Revisiting your headache thats now mine from 5 years ago. Hours spent researching GM #s, conflicting info from sites on 12472422 12472421 being left or right. Found interchange #s for the above mentioned, upon research find that the 12361258, 12361259 are both upper yet are tied to 2422/2421(lowers) as replacements.
