Find someone parting out a similar year setup and grab what you need.

Most budget friendly option would probably be to go to a pick and pull and find all the parts you need from another square body. There are probably some years that wouldn’t work but someone more knowledgeable than me would have to chime in to advise on that. There also are probably other gm vehicles you could rob parts from and piece your AC and heat system that way. I remember reading a build thread that a guy on another site (https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids/1585356-5-3-4l60e-swap-into-my-rusty-71-c-10-a.html) where he pieced together the AC system and it blew 40 degrees when he was done.

79 c10s are hard to come by I'll need to find a compatible truck or car for 350 motor

I’m in the process of doing the same thing. I was able to find the majority of the parts at a large online parts house for fairly cheap.

Can you provide some details on what your missing?
There's a lot of parts from '76 and up trucks (into mid 80's) with factory HVAC that will swap into a '79.

One suggestion I have is to stay away from the A6 compressors, since they were very heavy boat anchors, and most rebuilt A6 units are very unreliable. Your truck may have had an R4 compressor, which is a little more reliable. There are also many kits that let you swap in a newer Sanden compressor.
