I would have rather seen it go to a home where it would have been loved. It's probably pummeled by now

Some where in the back of my mind there's the thought that these military trucks never had actual titles. If so how did you get a title on it so you could register it and drive it on the street.......or was it never to be driven on the street ???????

The CUCV'S  are auctioned off from the government  with an SF-97 form.  It's the equevilent  of a certificate of origin on a new car.
  I've never had a problem registering & titling a CUCV using the SF-9 7.
The Military HMWWv's are auctioned as "off road use only" and can be tough to get on the road, but people are finding ways to do it.

No issue getting cucv on the road in Georgia
And apparently in a lot of states getting a license plate   On a military humvee is not difficult

In Georgia and a lot of southern states as long as it's not stolen and has all the required lights you can get a tag for it

You might not get a title for it but you can register it and drive it

Texas is probably the odd one then......no title, no registration. I wanted to buy an 80's Dodge military "power wagon" and there was no way to get a title......only folks I know that have purchased them bought them for ranch work.

Yep
Texas is strange about titles

If you lose it , your vehicle won't be on the road again ever

In GA you can easily get a title for a vehicle abandoned at your home or business or a thru a mechanics lien if say, someone takes a vehicle to a mechanic , has work done and never pays the bill

All youd need to do is haul the vehicle to my house and abandon it and I could probably get a title for it

I wonder if there is money to be made buying vehicles in Texas and bringing them back ??

N.C is the same way , if you lose the title ,it just became a parts car .
But if you haul it to GA , and it's not on the list of stolen cars ,you can get a tag and drive it , although you might not be able to get an actual title

I have a 1974 vehicle I've owned and driven since 95 with no title , but I got a registration and tag for it
