Hey guys,  My 84 k10 silverado steering column is having a little issue.  I use the truck as a daily driver and though everything is working in the last couple months It has started to become hard to get the shifter/gear selector out of park.  Once I have it out of park by almost forcing it the lever moves nice up and down through the detents and hits the other gears well.  Any ideas why it would become hard to shift the truck out of park?  I have tried lubricating things in the column and I think its in the column.  My truck has a 5.3 swap with 4l60E trans and a Lokar shift linkage shaft coming from the column.

I would disconnect the linkage first (Block the wheels) and test shifter again. If it doesn't do it anymore you need to look at the linkage for binding.

If everything checks out, it is possible the parking lock pawl in the transmission is worn and getting "stuck"
