New member from the State of Jefferson 79 K10
« on: February 07, 2022, 12:02:50 PM »
Hi all, happy to join up! I purchased my K10 almost 10 years ago for $900. Body was flawless, suspension was brand new, and the 350 had just been broken in before the previous owner had to cancel his plans to make it a rock crawler. Other than that, it was pretty much stripped to the frame. As a broke college student, the truck had to sit until the money pit hit critical mass. The wealth of knowledge on this site has been instrumental to getting this thing on the road. Yesterday I took her for a maiden voyage in the hills after setting the alignment and tuning the Atomic EFI. She’s a squirrelly one, and the Muncie a previous owner put in feels sloppy, but it sure felt good. Not liking the timing of this project though… these gas prices aren’t too friendly.
Here’s a pic

The State of Jefferson is a coalition of folks in southern Oregon and northern California who would like to secede their area into the 51st state, IIRC. Kind of like how eastern Oregon wants to be part of Idaho. All easily searched online and quite interesting reading. Not sure how I sit with all that since it doesn't affect my locality much.

That's as far as I will take it because I don't want to go into politics with people on sites I go to for community, information and entertainment. I am disappointed in how many maroons there are out there and I don't want to be disappointed here too. Too much tribalism these days when the main tribes are at culture war with each other. No, I don't tolerate monkey butt or poo flingers either.

Nice truck though. Glad to have you here.

Welcome from Kingsland Georgia and enjoy the airplow! Gas prices on top of a car payment...yikes  :o not for this guy that's why I have 8 vehicles (4square bodies) and only the one bike requires payment...at least that's what the bank says!
