alternator amp upgrade
« on: October 11, 2014, 10:22:37 PM »
While I'm thinking about electrical stuff... Does anybody have suggestions for an alternator upgrade - or any cautionary info? I'd love to get something higher than the standard 63 amp alternator - but hopefully something that fits without issues. I don't want to be fighting with brackets and fit.

I've got a '73 C20 with a 454 ( and a/c )

I don't need a lot - I was just hoping for something over 100 amps at least, for a couple extra lights, decent radio and such.

Check this thread out.  You can also get 12SI alternators bigger than 94 amps.
