Crossover Steering worth it with only 2" of lift?
« on: October 04, 2013, 11:46:47 AM »
Steering gear box is leaking bad and all my links are worn out. Would it be worth the money to convert to crossover steering now or just replace everything with OEM stuff?

This is on my '86 K10 6.2L. Only has 2.5" of lift and 33" tires and will most likely stay that way for quite awhile.

ORD has a kit that includes most everything you need, my guess is you can source a 2wd steering box pretty easy. Step one find out the price difference to replace your OEM stuff and then the cost of the kit. and report back I'm willing to bet there's quite a few followers interested in your findings. I personally have crossover steering and love it,
