blower motor

ok im needing help with this im needing to know if i could just use a regular switch and hook it to the blower motor to help me this winter to heat my crew cab since its been getting pretty cool am going to be replacing the motor as i think its out but i dont know where in the wiring harness the power is not traveling to to get to the motor as ive tested it out at the relay and no power is getting to it. if anyone could reply it would be great since here in north carolina its geting below freezing and the heat just coming through the firewall is not good for when i go to drive my truck

     So you are asking if you can run a switch directly to the blower motor to turn it on because you can not find out why it is not getting power ?  You can do that, but have you looked in the tech section here under wiring diagrams for yours and traced the problem from the power source to the fan ?  Or have you even hooked power up to the blower to make sure it worked at all ?  Just some thoughts.

i have tested the blower motor and it doesnt work i have ran a wire from the positive battery terminal to it and it wount spin i tried testing the wires to the relay with the truck on and it set to high and it has no power out to the wires for the relay

     There is a thread in here on a blower upgrade for our trucks, it suppose to double the output of air or close to it is I remember right.  The blower motors are not expensive, and very easy to replace.

the switch will work but it only gives you a high speed i believe

So first replace the blower motor if you're sure it's bad and then get your test light out. We can walk you through a few simple pinpoint tests.
