I've got a '78 K10 4X4 with a 350 FBM that a toy/project truck to me. My plan is to eventually yank the engine, hot tank it, bore it 30 or 40 over, build the bottom end with standard parts, put in an oversized cam, 200 or 215 cast heads, swap the manual fan to an dual electric fan, and lift it 4-6 suspension, and 3 body. thoughts on this are appreciated. thanks

sounds good, but IMO loose the BL.

i was considering the body lift because i was picturing 37" SS tires and i didn't figure they'd clear without it
-
I think a 3" body lift is too much also. I'd stay around 1.5 maybe 2 if you had to. But that sounds like its gonna be a bad truck. Pics?

the pics i have of it right now are on the photobucket link in my signature block. i'm picking away at things here and there so it's going to be awhile but i'm staying patient, and taking my time.. for now anyway

i also would hold off on the body lift. if you do rub then try to see how much you will need. think back spacing and tire width are the most important part. seen trucks clear 38s but then rub on the frames.
