i know its for the cummins conversions but i know bajaburban has done a few nv4500 swaps. he can tell you all about the pedals and everything you will run into. i know we also have a few on here that have swapped them but i doubt they have the amount that bajaburban has done

Regarding the floor pan, what sections are different in a 2wd CC vs 4wd? Would the rear section be different as well?

Use a passenger side drop NP208 if you want to go 4x4. Bolts right on.

I used a slave from and 89 K3500 and a master from an 89 V3500 with a SM465. That lets you just use brake line to connect them. I had to lengthen the pushrod on the slave but it bolts right on an NV4500 and works

being a 2wd more than likly you will need to chang the gloor pan or body lift. the GM 4500 will be 32 splines. you can adapt the np205 round patter to it easy depending on if its a long shaft you will need a spacer but the short shaft will bolt right up. same deal with the 208 except you dont have to deal with a spacer it will bolt right up. i wouldnt try and use the t case thats on it unless you want to run a dodge or ford front axle. nothing wrong with it but i have all gm parts not dodge or ford. i would look around your parts of town cause the dodge and ford front ends tend to be cheaper around here.
It's worth noting that the only usable Ford front axle would have to be off an F350.  The Dana front on an F150 - F250 is not a solid axle like Dodge & GM used.

The NP208 NP241 have A MUCH lower low range than the older NP203 NP205 cases.  They're much much lighter weight and less expensive too and they hold up just fine. I pounded the snot out of one commercial plowing for four years.  Blew up a Dana 60 axle twice but that NP208 was fine.

You will have to mod the front propshaft length depending on how high or low the NP208 clocks out.
I would highly reccomend a xfer case to bellhousing brace rod too.  You'll have to fab one.

If anybody could recommend a good compression tester and adapters for this thing, I'd appreciate it. I'm gonna try to get it on the stand here soon and diagnosing it to see what it's gonna need.

I gotta know if you're saying it clears the 2WD floorpan or not.

It won't, and neither will the nv4500, the low hump floor pan only came on 2wd automatic transmission trucks all other trucks got the high hump.

I was thinking this was more the case. I'll just have to find the other hump. Still hoping the rear floor isn't any different. Don't think it is anyhow. Funny enough, I'm going through your K10 swap at the moment. I may just try to find a diesel converter and use the TH400 temporarily, but I doubt I'll bother when I've got other projects. After the swap I'm considering lengthening the truck and/or adding an axle. I'm shooting for about a 25' total length truck with a flatbed and slide-on camper.
