73-87 Steering Columns

I need a steering wheel for my 73 C10.  One of the prominent classic Chevy truck accessory merchants has the best price, but they show the guts for the column as 1970-73 and 74 on.   They did the same for the chrome door trim, and I ordered the 74 on, and it fit.  (Someone in the forum here said 73 and on were all the same for the trim.)  Does anyone know if the steering column guts/horn hardware is the same for 73 on?  Thanks.

I can confirm the steering wheel will fit, actually anything except the telescopic cadillac 1969-1992 ish is all pretty much the same GM.  Some of the internals differ as well as the intermediate shaft 1977ish and newer.

Thanks a lot.  I just thought to check the part numbers at a couple stores.  Should have done that before.  They are the same, 70-73.  So apparently there was some transition components/parts in that period.
